Just Married moved after wedding to their own home.
Under the first stone of new builded house they put valuable coin and foundation of house was sprinkled with consecrated water. To the new house were brought bread, salt and sugar. It had to provide abundanie and blessing.
House had two parts - timbery for living and made of stone - for animals. Houses had straw roofs.
Houses were built without fundations. They were settled on thick oats logs. Since XXc they started to build houses on stones.
In one-chamber house there were two windows, in two-chamber houses there were 3-4 windows. In larners and entrance-halls there weren't windows, only very little air-regulator. In XIXc people couldn't open windows.
Doors was single, made of thick boards. Doors had bolts, bars, wooden and iron lock. Above doors was decorations which were cut out. There were also owners names and inscriptions eg "God bless this home".
In XIXc houses were painted with lime.
In courkyards there were cow-sheds, sties. Very raley there were stables.
To keep crops people built detached cellars covered with soil. They were divided into two parts.
Wells had reluctant boardings. To scoop water they used buckets which were fastened to pole with hook. Later they used windlasses or kind of lift.

There was barn in the courtyard in it they keep crops. People weren't allowed to built barns in their courtyards in case they lived in towns. All barns were situated in suburbs and they formed a kind of barns sidtnet which was connected with protection against fire.
