Narwiański National Park

Narew National Park is located in the north-east Poland, in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The Park total area, established in 1996, is 7,350 ha. Most of the land is private and belongs to small farmers. Only 2,057 ha are a property of the State. The Park lies in the Upper Narew valley and occupies the marshy Narew valley between Suraz and Rzedziany, which used to belong to the Narew Landscape Park. Marshlands and wasteland are the dominating ecosystems                         and cover about 90% of the Park area.
