The Białowieski wilderness has behaved as one of not numerous in Poland of naturals forest, without interference of person. Leafy forests occupy over 2/3 surface of park. The biggest area take care the woods grądowe, which grow in very fertile soil the Bialowieska Forest. Place flooded across some months water grow olsy and łęgi. In dry place grow forest pines, spruces and mixed trees. The appear 20 species woods and 4500 species plants. A rare plants: pełnik europejski, kosaćca syberyjska, arnika górska and fiołek bagienny.


Dead timber

Dead timber is characteristic feature in Bialowieski National Park big number of dead timber. It occupies masses of all trees in strict sanctuary 10%. Valuable nutritious substances return to soil due to schedule of dead trunk, retrieving soil fruitfulness. Besides, dead timber becomes house for countless amount of mushroom, germ and tiny invertebrates. Many of they it sorts threatened vanish, nowhere in europe only not protrude.
