Behind the house there was a small garden or orchard. Schools and presbyteries looked similar to this schema. Manors of the richer gentry were more impressive. They often had asymmetrical form, by the reason of numerous rebuildings and outhouses. Foray to these mansions was created by green lawns and flowers. They were cherished by gardeners specially employeed for it. On the sides or at the back of the manor there were industrial buildings such as stambles, sheep – folds and barns. Bigger stambles and barns were often made by stone and covered by roof with extension kept on pillars. Under it there was stored numerous farm equipment.
